Case Study: The Australian Christian Channel

The Australian Christian Channel has always worked to bridge the gap for viewers from a faith background and those viewers looking solely for positive content.

Their partnership with Heritage Films began in 2009 and continues to this day. By acquiring a steady, growing percentage of family-oriented drama features, series, documentaries and children’s content, Heritage has been able to support strategic directional decisions on a programming basis, coming alongside the ACC to reposition their branding and content strategies when they decided to refocus with a strong emphasis on family feature films.

By working closely to improve the quality and range of content licensed within these parameters, the ACC has seen increased loyalty amongst its audiences and in fact achieved the #1 Channel for Viewer Loyalty across the Foxtel Platform in 2016.

‘The Heritage team have consistently delivered to the ACCTV on our expectations for new acquisitions of family friendly and faith based entertainment, and have been instrumental in securing high-quality content from both studios and independent providers.’ - Craig Jeffs, Channel Operations, ACCTV

Content is licensed on a monthly basis, allowing for a constant flow of fresh programming, the identification of seasonal and thematic programming needs and opportunities, and an open door for producers looking for an Australian/NZ broadcast home for their titles.
